Quiet Zone Information

At the request of your peers, the Douglas Library is a designated QUIET ZONE.

What this means for you . . .

We make every effort to support your ability to read, work and study in a safe, comfortable, and quiet environment.

To promote a quiet library, staff will remind patrons to:

• Speak in low conversational tones
• Turn down audio devices so they're inaudible to others
• Take cell phone calls outside the library
• Silence ringtones
• Mute laptop speakers

If you choose not to abide by these guidelines you may be asked to leave the library.

Thank you and enjoy your learning experience!

Mission of the Douglas Library

Provide the college community access to the information, ideas, services, and environments
needed to strengthen teaching and learning.
